Celebrate National Men’s Health Week 2016

Posted on June 11, 2016 by

June is a month to celebrate the men in our life, not only with Father’s Day but also with National Men’s Health Week. This year from June 13 -19, join RSCNJ in celebrating a week focusing on men’s health.

This observance is led by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The goal of this week is to create awareness of the steps that men can take to prevent disease and health problems. Help support our men and boys in making their physical and mental health a priority.

Men can improve their health by doing the following:

  • Visiting health care professionals for regular screenings and checkups
  • Increasing physical activity and exercise
  • Eating healthy
  • Getting sufficient sleep
  • Managing stress levels
  • Avoiding unhealthy behaviors—smoking, drugs and alcohol.
